Welcome to Human Resources Wiki!

  • A site about Human Resources...How interesting can this be? A lot..I can tell you. Here you will find a lot of information about what Human Resources means, about what it consists of, how you can improve some skills, what skills do you need for this kind of job and so on and so forth...but in fewer words: almost anything!

  • In order to make our English classes more interesting and helpful, we were advised that a site about Human Resources will be extremely useful. In this respect, creating something about our specialization will not only help us but also other students who study the same thing as we are.Our group is formed by 3 students willing to learn as much as possible about their specialization and who also want to develop knowledge about their future job.We: Cozma Anca and Duma Andra hope that this excercise of knowing Human resources as much as possible will be a perfect one.

  • This space has been created by students of Human Resources at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This project is part of our English for Academic Purposes course for the second semester of the academic year 2010-2011. As far as we know, wikis have been used in higher education only by Gabriela Grosseck, our colleague from West University, Timisoara (see her paper on Un experiment pedagogic reusit. Utilizarea wiki in desfasurarea unui curs academic). However, the novelty of EAPHumanResources wiki is that it is intended for several generations of students to come and build it according to their specialty study needs. Another novelty is that students create it with minimal guidance and are free to select and create a space that matches their personality and academic needs.EAPHumanResourcesis designed to be a work-in-progress; therefore, we expect it to become what G. Grosseck calls "a community of learning by doing" and a motivational factor for students to take responsibility of a major part of their learning. I am grateful to the enthusiastic group of students that has undertaken this task and I hope our collaboration is just the beginning of a long friendship.Cristina Felea, Ph.D., university lecturer at the Faculty of Letters, Babes-Bolyai University
