According to Edwin B. Flippo( author of Principles of Personnel Management), "recruitment is the process of searching the candidates for employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organisation" (source: Meaning of recruitment)

Recruitment Sources may be internal or external but most organisation use both sources of recruitment.
Employing stuff from internal sources are characterized by transfers, promotions, re-employment of ex- employees ( Ex-employees may be invited to occupy the remaining vacant posts).The use of the external source include employment at factory level, advertisements, employment exchanges, employment agencies, educational institutes, recommendations, labour contractors etc.
Still I will develop more ideas about internal recruitment sources.One of the most effective methods of internal recruitment is job-posting.It announces employees about vacancies posts by letters, publications, radio or television.Also, vacancies can be filled by promotion or transfer.The advantages of this recruitment are : company already knows employees' skills, selection is more efficent and the time for accomodation is much lower.This type or recruitment have disadvantages including :promoting only seniority criterion may reduce innovation.
The external recruitment sources involved much time and money but also have advantages: lower training costs and encourages new ideas.External recruitment is made by the method of formal and informal but most posts deals throught informal method because this method use limited advertising and does't cost anything.Formal method uses various forms of advertising to find people who want a job. Recruitment methods:
  1. Advertising- covers a large area of the market and the information is transmitted quickly and efficently.
  2. Agencies- deal effectively with staff recruitment but will a high price.
  3. Consultations- consulting agencies knows to choose the most suitable candidates and convince them to participate to the interview.Also offers specialized advice and reduced work time. (source: Recruitment sources)

Advertising is a form of communication used to encourage or persuade audience (viewers, readers or listeners; sometimes a specific group of people) to continue or take some new action. It has developed very much and is accomplished trought a variety of means , including: television, music, radio, internet, magazines, newspapers etc.( source: Advertising)

Recruitment advertisement may be the first impression of a company for many people, and the first impression the firm makes goes a long way to determining interest in the job opening being advertised. Recruitment advertisements typically have a uniform layout and contain the following elements:
  • the job title heading and location
  • an explanatory paragraph describing the company, including the Employer Brand
  • a description of the position
  • entry qualifications
  • the remuneration package (not always provided by the employer)

  • Appropriate documentation is extremely important in all areas of scholarly work. Not only are there laws prohibiting unauthorized use of a borrowed source, but it is morally necessary to give credit where credit is due.
  • When creating a wiki page, each source from which one gains information must be cited--and cited properly. Citation is required when summarizing, quoting, or paraphrasing a source.
